Supermarket Savvy

Approach the supermarket with a newfound confidence that will improve the experience and, ultimately, your health.

According to a recent study by Northwestern University, over 70% of packaged foods in grocery stores are processed. Having knowledge about which foods to buy (and avoid) is more important now than ever.

Based on your dietary restrictions, preferences and budget, I will join you at your supermarket (in-person or remotely) and discuss what to stock up on, what to avoid and how to purchase the best food for you at the highest quality and for the best price.

I will share my tips for navigating each section, decoding labels, buying healthy on-the-go meals, snack ideas, understanding the meaning of terms from “grass-fed” to “GMOs,” and avoiding misleading advertising claims.  You will also discover lots of new healthy foods including some my favorite products and healthy swaps.

The 60-minute grocery store tour also includes:

  • Verbal and written tips including shopping lists, menu planners, money-saving strategies, produce storage and more

  • My undivided attention and the opportunity to ask questions throughout

  • You may bring 1 additional family member at no extra cost

The cost is $85

Program participants will receive a discount. Please connect with me to purchase.

{Cost: From $85 for 60 minutes and up}

My supermarket tour with Susan was eye-opening, empowering and the most fun I’ve ever had at the supermarket! She helped me navigate each aisle to decode labels, look for keywords and make healthy choices that work for my family. As a full-time working mom, I need to have healthy options in the house to pull together quick meals and offer smart snacks. This guidance gave me the tools to do that: advice, knowledge, recommendation and support.

Visiting the grocery store was amazing and my favorite part. It really put things into perspective. I thought I knew a lot about shopping for healthy options but this experience was eye opening! I did not realize how much sugar I had in my diet! Susan is very realistic and approachable. Her approach is not to tell you what to do, she gives you options so you make the best choices. I would recommend Susan to anyone who is interested in “cleaning up” their diet and wanting to live a healthier life style. ”
